  • We are responsible for the protection of the nature for future generations, do not harm animals or plants. Respect wildlife.
  • Spring waters are crucial for animals, respect them. Try to leave the Natural Park in better condition than you found it.
  • Use trash bins if they exist. If you don’t find bins always bring your trash back home.
  • Enjoy the sounds of the forest; try to be quiet.
  • Be respectful with other visitors and with the activities of the inhabitants of the area. During your hikes always close road and path doors.
  • Be responsible of your pets, they must be kept on a lash or they could disturb wildlife, livestock or other visitors.
  • There are many spring water sources and livestock watering points across the Natural Park, such waters are not treated and human consumption is not recommended.
If you walk
  • Get informed about the route you plant to walk and check the weather forecast.
  • If you walk alone inform someone about your trip.
  • Never walk outside pahts and trails. Cross-country is never the shortest way.
  • In summer start early in the morning, avoid maximum sun exposure times.
  • Always wear confortable, durable, sportive shoes, preferably mountain boots.
  • Get your cell phone with you and charge batteries before departure. Emergency number is 112.
  • When planning a hike take into consideration the difficulty of the hike and your physical condition.
  • Avoid walking at night. Many events can delay your hike, as a precaution, always carry with you a flashlight/torch with charged batteries.
If you wish to collect mushrooms
  • Mushroom and fungi collection in forest areas is regulated by Order of September the 16th of 1996 of the Conselleria d'Agricultura i Medi Ambient.
  • The only authorized tool to collect mushrooms is a knife
  • It is obligatory to use containers allowing spore dispersion (i.e. wicker baskets)
  • Mushrooms must be cut off from the base, leaving the lower part buried.
  • Maximum amount per person and day is 6 kg (approx. 13 pounds).
  • When parking your car do not obstruct tracks, paths or ways of access to the forest.
  • Do not damage mushrooms you don’t want to collect, they are essential for the natural decomposition process of the organic matter and soil looses nutrients without their presence.
